Sharpen those teeth!

So first game in nearly 2 months! All I can say is WAAAAAUGH! ORKZ!

Nuff said. na really it was a good fun game vs the grey knigits and only 1000 points to boot.

something like 93 on 14.. not overly fair but they were less scary that I had been led to believe..by the inter net.. HA.

The dredknight seems scary until its killed by ork boyz. So ya it could own some troop types and it isn't to be taken lightly but everything sooner or later gets draged down.

from the sound of it my opponent has not played in quite a while. So good for me a stress free game and as it turns out a stress free gamer as well. I will enjoy playing this one again ..don't know his name but the silly one up'smenship was enjoyable and the dice were not kind to me (which is why I ran so many guys!) but even when he lost he was a good sport (which he said he would be.)

So a good evening. Sadly I was regretting not having my wolves with me. bad me.

But looks like I am back to rolling dice.

maybe the orkz should get another game in tomorrow? .. well see.

yet another Space Wolves update.

loads done in this last 2 weeks sorry if I am behind a little from my posting on Sundays declaration.

But things that have not been done are moving along very quickly! Some of you may know I like land speeders and fewer still know that I have 9 of them that I keep saying I will paint and "finish" ..and have yet to do....

Until now!

Thats right! 6 painted so far and thats not all!

I also have 6 rhino painted!

large flat spots are not really an easy thing to paint I use a light blue over a dark blue/black so the contrast on large areas can be a bit much. In fact the light blue seems silly or to make the vehicles seem less threatening. which just wont do! So after many months they are nearly done as well!

Ah but theirs more!

My land raiders which are relics from 2 other armies over several years also have paint!

and lastly the ever dreaded Storm Raven!

The youngest in my collection is also in par with the others!

Not much left for this army. That is as far as collecting goes! Still have several painting decisions to make and execute.

Hello again. I had a grate weekend! 3 days off of which I think I spent around 20 hours painting ..maybe more! Just how is this not much of an update? well Not many pic's were taken I tried to shoot a you tube clip.. fail? not sure.loads of footage to fix still for a wannabe batt rep. and then their is the painting. I worked on my armour! my rhinos , land raiders and storm raven. Still have to get those speeders done. what has it been now ...a year?.. maybe so.

My problem has been with solid color on my armour. it looks very ..wrong. my troops are dark but with a light over brushing and a wash to darken them down again. on the vehicles the look too light and ..well silly. this new look is following Mr. Darthburn's way of painting. I wont clam any inside knowledge or anything but I have always liked his layering..very dawn of war looking. very cool.

so as a noob this is my attempt to apply his ways. I am worried he may get upset when he sees them.. but I hope he is flattered at my attempt.

I have had this one for over a year and had wanted to paint him before now. However, he was porly primed .. all bumpy from the humidity and more than a year later was striped and base coated!

More work to do ...

I am planning to pose on Sundays now. As a week in review.

So its sunday night...

And having had a nice weekend with an outing or two just been nice to relax.

my sabbatical from gaming is nearly over. soon my wolves will once again arise to lay waste to the armies of the 40 first millinium ! I have ordered some more bitz.. in the form of box sets.. which will be looted in short order when they arrive! I am excited! the grey knights are out very soon but I am just not feeling it.. I have never liked the Idea of them but I am hopeful that they are a good and maybe balanced codex as I am sure I will be facing the new hotness sooner or later..

But enough doom. I will be wrapping up a few projects and seeing off the opening of my new blog dedicated to terrain and of course making piles of gold... not.. But maybe it will support my unstable gaming needs! and be an enjoyable little business.

Mishaps!

Well it turns out my "MEK pitt" floods .. so production has dropped right off for now though my I.G. is getting some painting love but little else is going on right now. My tanks are all re-based and the inf. is getting some much needed work but once again the weirdness isn't working out well for me.
