The WIP begins

Small start to the Necron WIP.
Still slowly building. Using locktite jell. takes a bit to cure... Might get another glue to speed things up.

More to follow. 

Should be priming models on Sunday.

Here's a small look at how it's all coming together.

Just a little left to do and I can start to paint.

This in no way an update. I have neglected my hobbies for months.
That said I am working on project Necron.
Four weeks ago I stopped by the last local game shop and picked up ...you guessed it Necrons.
I did already have a pile of these guys in a box, my plans had been to paint and sell these guys.
Now that I have had a look at the current codex I am pleased to keep them.

And now the hard part is done. and like before here's some candy.

New units of all variety.

And the count down is on! But is it truly on?! yes!
 bu what are we counting down for?... well the last few blood claws for one. 6 in the works and 3 more to be built and bam! 30 blood claws! But whats next you ask.
 The armoured fleet for one, Rhinos and Land raiders, and 3 more Thunder wolves as well. and from their... just drop pods...ie just getting the final bitz done.

It's Sunday.

I don't have much to show off today. I just received the mighty Thunder wolve Cav. from Games Workshop as well as the feral fenresian wolves!
 So I do have a little work on my mind. first impressions are 50/50 some good and some not so much.
 The TWC are very nice and will need cool bases to make them pop, but these fellas will not be rushed out. They are far too expensive to not take my time and give them the attention they should have.
 The best bitz look to be the chainswords , heads, and the little extra detail bitz. the wolves are slimmer than you might think they should be.
 The FW's are very cool, they look like 1 wolf in motion. However their heads er.. the fur is more or less too sharp to look very natural. I have 5 or 6 almost assembled. the are very easy. the last few will have to wait a little bit.
 My plan is to copy their tails and their ears with a molding material I got last year form cool mini or not's store. I have 20 Chaos hounds that Need to some work to bring the lot of them together.

So should be fun.

Lastly I have been working on a new Wolf Guard who will be joining the ranks.

Some painting recap!

 So. What to do, what to do. Ro rather where to start.
 Over the last few months I have been painting here and there.
  It is difficult to find a place to start.
 I will be spending some time working out my posts and creating a timeline so I can stay with the plot.

But I guess until I get that far I will just put up some “eye candy” for you all to enjoy.
 Some of these only a few soles have yet seen,. Others are more recent work posted at the B&C.

Back from the deep sleep.

Over the next ...dare I say new installment it will be my goal to produce some new hobby content, meaning pic's, tips, and "wip's".
 I have posted a frozen tone of pic's with a group of friends on Face Book and have some unrefined ideas that might make this blog both fun to read and fun for me to post again.

Thoughts.
 I miss fanzines like firebase, for example. I hound my friends to post more pic's and to keep it up. I have a savage for it.

And with that my goal is no less than one post a week.  My deadline will be Sunday night, and over a drink and a pipe just maybe my goals will be met.

A first for me. or front end madness!

So recently I was asked to make a painting tutorial.

 This was quite the challenge I have not made one before and wasn't sure how it would tour not.

The request came from Celsork, he has a vlog on youtube http://www.youtube.com/user/TheCelsork

 The painting portion took an evening but the editing....well that took 2 days! Zounds!

 I wanted it to be a single movie but in the end I went with 4 parts.
