Blood Angels vs Sisters of Battle
2000 points

Mission? - cant remember.
6 objectives.

List in previous post, Ya, it's difficult to read with the blogs background colors.

Loads of small squads 3 with Multimeltas several with magicked Storm bolters
Flying nuns with stabby power swords.

The table

ditto

Blood angels deployment

Both armies deployed

Sisters deployed

ditto

ditto again

Same

same

Blood Angels start to move on turn 1, BA's going first.

Lots of fire from the Blood angels destroys a sisters squad in their front lines.

Sisters turn 1, The BA's Gladiator reaper is destroyed as is a Redemptor, massive hot to the BA's.

Redemptor hiding out for the objective but will see the wisdom of moving elsewhere shortly.

Storm speeders move up to help. Impulsor carrying Blade Guard and the Biker Chaplin move up to attack the objective holding units in front of them.
Much success.

The Redemtptor has backed well away to hopefully avoid being assaulted in mass by stabby flying nuns.  Would take a lot of damage from far too many Multimelta shots.

another view of the same except the BA's have cleared the objective on the far end and move up to secure the table quarter and ready an assault, wiping a small sisters squad from yet another objective.

The Sisters of Battle take the abandoned objective, flying nuns move up and hug the cover.

The had of pasty fate pointing to the contemplating who gets zapped next.

The aftermath, things are looking up for the Blood Angels.
If we don't think about the Chaplin who had died the previous turn and forget how the valiant golden Sanguinor arrived to save him only to also be murdered in an inconceivable fashion by a savagely wounded warrior nun, though he did slay her with is last.
Glory but at what cost.

The Blade Guard hold the Sisters Deployment zone center objective.
The Slaughter continues.

The flying stabby Nuns have joined combat with the Heavy intercessors and their captain.
This fight would go on for a while.

More flying nuns arrive to try to take the Blood Angels right side deployment zone and drop an action to gin another VP.
This would stall out my suppressors keeping them in the general area to deal with them.
The Suppressors would shoot and slay a priest and also a flying nun after that on the far off left objective ( Near the stack of bluish containers)

The Heavy Intercessors eventually clear out all of the flying nuns and hold their home objective again.

The Blood Angels advance forces have been destroyed saving the Sisters of Battle's Deployment and clearing a table quarter for them as well.
The sisters huge robot nun slays the Blade Guard and their LT with next to no effort on her part.
"Silly Blood Angels our objective was never really in any danger."

Still held.

Objective secured again.

Final score was something like 72-ish to 50+ something.
This Sisters of Battle army had far too many small squads that packed far too much of a punch form my Elite Blood Angels list but I do feel like this was the best game of 9th I have played yet as we completed 5 turns.

I took my own mat and terrain up to the shop and I feel the terrain made all the difference.
What worked? everything.
we may have needed a bit more to be honest but this was a noticeably better game.

Changes for next time?
Yes.
I want to bring a slightly different list and plan to drop one of the storm speeders and maybe the Biker Chaplin. Need more troop units and more dakka, of the troop shredding variety.

Next post in a day or two with pictures of the terrain I painted in the last few days to bring to this game.

Thanks for reading.
