The universe unclog!

I have not been a competive ork player for a while now. which isnt to say I have not been winning some gmes but nearly 3 months ago I decided to drop off from gaming for a while. early this month I got the time to play again and won 2 games (every one loves to win!) but I got thinking about my army lists and with that I am thinking about useing more shoota boyz.regardless of how I had been building my army my boyz alwayse seem to be what wins the games sure the outher stuff is good too. I had for a long time been running slugga boyz but my last few games got me thinking about shoota buyz.

I am also thinking about IMPArmout?8? as a new way to play as well.

I don't like gretchen much as a troop choice either but I do like the way the new kit looks so I may add a large mob.

over all the only think I seem to be lacking is waggonz I have some kits but just cant get in to thim. the model isn't what I was hoping for ..too small.

So all ranting aside I guess I'm going to work on some lists.

No pic's this weekend, Spent all weekend in the "real" world. but all is well, or as well as my crazy lets me be.. And I'm thinking orkz! so I have been rummaging through my bitz box. What about ard boyz? ..but Shoota Ard boyz? could be good.

But the guard did get a little time on Saturday. the tracks have been painted black. I am toying with a black line look for the armour but I am not going to paint the bolts all over the tanks. That would be unrealistic. I am going to add the Basilisks to the "euro" troop I decided this this morning. the reasoning being Apocalypse.

And I am thinking about terrain. A dark heavy ash waste, with snow and mud. should look like a place no one would want to fight over... to crappy to clam. This one will be planed out.

So first game in nearly 2 months! All I can say is WAAAAAUGH! ORKZ!

Nuff said. na really it was a good fun game vs the grey knigits and only 1000 points to boot.

something like 93 on 14.. not overly fair but they were less scary that I had been led to believe..by the inter net.. HA.

The dredknight seems scary until its killed by ork boyz. So ya it could own some troop types and it isn't to be taken lightly but everything sooner or later gets draged down.

from the sound of it my opponent has not played in quite a while. So good for me a stress free game and as it turns out a stress free gamer as well. I will enjoy playing this one again ..don't know his name but the silly one up'smenship was enjoyable and the dice were not kind to me (which is why I ran so many guys!) but even when he lost he was a good sport (which he said he would be.)

So a good evening. Sadly I was regretting not having my wolves with me. bad me.

But looks like I am back to rolling dice.

maybe the orkz should get another game in tomorrow? .. well see.

yet another Space Wolves update.

loads done in this last 2 weeks sorry if I am behind a little from my posting on Sundays declaration.

But things that have not been done are moving along very quickly! Some of you may know I like land speeders and fewer still know that I have 9 of them that I keep saying I will paint and "finish" ..and have yet to do....

large flat spots are not really an easy thing to paint I use a light blue over a dark blue/black so the contrast on large areas can be a bit much. In fact the light blue seems silly or to make the vehicles seem less threatening. which just wont do! So after many months they are nearly done as well!

Ah but theirs more!

My land raiders which are relics from 2 other armies over several years also have paint!

and lastly the ever dreaded Storm Raven!

The youngest in my collection is also in par with the others!

Not much left for this army. That is as far as collecting goes! Still have several painting decisions to make and execute.

Hello again. I had a grate weekend! 3 days off of which I think I spent around 20 hours painting ..maybe more! Just how is this not much of an update? well Not many pic's were taken I tried to shoot a you tube clip.. fail? not sure.loads of footage to fix still for a wannabe batt rep. and then their is the painting. I worked on my armour! my rhinos , land raiders and storm raven. Still have to get those speeders done. what has it been now ...a year?.. maybe so.

My problem has been with solid color on my armour. it looks very ..wrong. my troops are dark but with a light over brushing and a wash to darken them down again. on the vehicles the look too light and ..well silly. this new look is following Mr. Darthburn's way of painting. I wont clam any inside knowledge or anything but I have always liked his layering..very dawn of war looking. very cool.

so as a noob this is my attempt to apply his ways. I am worried he may get upset when he sees them.. but I hope he is flattered at my attempt.
